â Deadline Policy
Stories and artwork must be finished by the final deadline, before the posting dates. If you think that you wonât be able to complete your work in time for a check-in, please contact a moderator as soon as possible.
- Do not sign up for the event if you anticipate that you will not be able to make the periodic check-ins; itâs not fair to your partner to wait until the last minute, even if youâre able to complete a work in a short period of time.
- Participants are welcome and encouraged to complete their check-ins before the deadline.
If you fail to meet a check-in without arranging an extension ahead of time:
- After 24 hours, a moderator will ping or message you on Discord
- After 48 hours, a moderator will reach out to you via your alternate contact
- After 72 hours, if we have still not received a response you will be kicked from the event
- These guidelines have been altered in response to participants ghosting or stringing along their partners in past years. If a failure to communicate leads you to be kicked from the event, you will be barred from participating for one year.
- Pre-paired artist/author teams will be responsible for keeping each other accountable, and will not be kicked for inactivity unless one of the team members expresses concern and a moderator is unable to resolve the situation within the 72-hour timeframe.
Please stay in regular contact with your partner. Let them and the moderators know if youâll be out of communication for extended periods of time.
đ°ď¸ Extension Policy
If you cannot complete your piece in time, please notify a moderator and your partner as soon as possible. This can be either in your teamâs channel (preferred) or by DMing a moderator.
- When granting an extension, we require the participant to have an alternate deadline in mind. Any deadline works as long as you are not delaying more than one check-in.
- Deadline request example (click me!)
- Check-ins are welcome to be submitted early as well!
đ General Rules
- This event is 18+. If you are younger than 18 at the time of sign-ups, do not participate. Underage participants will be kicked from the event and barred from future events.
- Participation in this event is Discord-only, for ease of modding. This means that check-ins will be occurring solely through the Discord. Final works will still be posted to Ao3 and participantsâ social media.
- This Bang is open to stories from all official continuities or AUs. There is no requirement to include romance in your story, but all character pairings are welcome.
- If you see a ship or content that you dislike, ignore it. This is an inclusive event. If a participant is harassing others, they will be kicked from the event and banned from participating again.
- Please do not submit content focused on non-Transformers franchises, or original characters (OCs) and reader-inserts, unless coming pre-paired.
- Background crossovers and OCs are welcome, but they should not be the focus of the work.
- AI-generated works (art or fic) are prohibited.
- Do not post previews or WIPs of your work to social media before the preview period, and do not upload your work anywhere before the posting period.
- Youâre welcome to discuss your story or art on the event Discord or privately with friends before this time. Please share only in small (<20 person) servers if you are sharing your work within friend-specific discords.
- Do not submit your Big Bang work to other events or make merchandise of your project without your partnerâs express permission.
- If a moderator sees an individual (author or artist) making merch of their work or submitting it to other events, we will be checking in with their partner. If we find out that you have been profiting off of your partnerâs work without their permission and/or knowledge, you will be kicked from the event and banned from participating again
- Collaborate with and support your partner! Get in touch with them early on and check in often. If youâre having difficulties getting in contact with your partner, or you havenât gotten a response from them in 1+ weeks, please notify a moderator.
- Participants are responsible for communication with their partners and moderators. If you expect to be out of contact for extended periods of time, let your partner know.
- This is a fandom event that welcomes artists and authors of all levels of experience. We cannot regulate the quality of content, but we do expect all participants to put effort and time into their works. Respect your partnerâs effort.
